St Michael's Church, Camden Town

St Michael's Church is an Anglican church in Camden Town featuring brick walls with stone decorations and a continuous stenciled ceiling covering both the nave and chancel. The structure comprises two main sections that were built at different times to create the full interior space.

The main nave was completed in 1880 and consecrated the following year. The chancel was added several years later in the early 1890s, expanding the full structure of the church.

The interior displays fourteen Stations of the Cross lining the side aisles, along with a stone altar depicting the Risen Christ. These religious artworks shape the spiritual character of the space and guide visitors through its religious purpose.

The church is located near Camden Town tube station with several bus routes providing easy access to the area. Public transport connections make reaching the building straightforward for most visitors.

A contemporary art installation called 'HS' by artist Maciej Urbanek is positioned behind the font and won a major award for art in religious spaces in 2015. This modern addition brings current artistic perspectives into the traditional church interior.
