St Michael's Church, Middleton

St Michael's Church is a Gothic Revival stone church located in Middleton featuring a four-bay nave with clerestory windows, north and south aisles, a chancel with side chapel, and a separate tower. The building's layout creates distinct spaces within the interior that guide the flow of visitors through the structure.

This church was built in 1901-1902 to replace an earlier 1839 structure, with financial backing from local brewer J. W. Lees. The tower was added later between 1926 and 1931, expanding the building's architectural character.
