Chard Museum, Local museum in Chard Town, England.

The museum occupies a thatched building composed of four converted cottages, displaying local artifacts and machinery across multiple exhibition spaces.

The collection originated in 1880 when Arthur Hull gathered local artifacts, which were temporarily housed in Taunton before returning to establish Chard Museum in 1970.

The museum exhibits focus on industrial heritage, featuring John Stringfellow's powered flight developments and James Gillingham's artificial limb innovations from the region.

Located at Fore Street, Chard TA20 1QA, the museum provides educational programs for schools and maintains both indoor galleries and outdoor displays.

The museum preserves the memory of Margaret Bondfield, the first female Cabinet minister in British history, who maintained strong connections to Chard Town.
