Strawberry Studios, Recording studio in Stockport, England
The building at 3 Waterloo Road contains multiple recording rooms equipped with professional audio equipment for music production and sound engineering.
Founded in 1968 as Inter-City Studios, the facility moved to Waterloo Road and changed its name to Strawberry Studios, inspired by The Beatles song.
The studio recorded music for numerous bands including 10cc, Joy Division, The Smiths, and The Stone Roses between 1968 and the early 1990s.
The former recording studio building now houses Mondiale Publishing and Imagine FM, with a commemorative blue plaque marking its musical significance.
Neil Sedaka recorded his comeback albums at the studio with 10cc serving as his backing band, leading to commercial success for both parties.
