Dymock Woods SSSI, Protected woodland in Gloucestershire, England.
Dymock Woods spans 53 hectares of terrain with acidic soils from Old Red Sandstone, featuring mature sessile oak trees and numerous flowing streams.
The woodland management practices in Betty Daw's Wood shifted from charcoal production to sessile oak forestry during the 1850s transformation period.
The forest contributes to local environmental education through guided walks and educational programs about woodland conservation and biodiversity protection.
Visitors can explore two designated trails: the Lake Walk extending 2.5 kilometers and the Princes Walk covering 1.5 kilometers through natural surroundings.
The forest houses specific butterfly populations, including the pearl-bordered fritillary and white admiral species, within its protected environment.
