Tilehurst Water Tower

Tilehurst Water Tower is a rectangular concrete structure that rises above the town and houses two large storage tanks. The building remains in active operation today, supplying water to homes and businesses across the region.

The facility was built in 1932 to supplement the Bath Road Reservoir and improve water supply to higher elevations. This infrastructure project helped meet the growing demand of the expanding region.

The tower serves as a navigation reference point for local residents traveling along the M4 motorway, indicating their proximity to Reading.
