St Mary's Church, Church building in Fratton, Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
Built in Neo-Perpendicular Gothic style, St Mary's Church features a 51-meter-high tower, hammerbeam oak roof, and decorative lierne vault across its 64-meter length.
The church site dates back to 1164 when Baldwin de Portsea informed Bishop Henry de Blois about the donation of land for religious purposes.
The church maintains regular worship services, hosts concerts by Portsmouth Choral Union, and serves the communities of Fratton, Landport, and Buckland through various programs.
The building contains 600 seats, disabled parking spaces, facilities for visitors with hearing impairments, and permits guide dogs throughout the premises.
The church houses a Walker organ with 2,622 pipes, specifically designed to cathedral proportions, making it one of the notable parish church organs on the South Coast.
