The Lodge RSPB reserve, Nature reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire, England
The Lodge RSPB Reserve encompasses several hundred acres of woodland, heathland, and grassland, providing habitats for numerous bird species and wildlife populations.
Established in 1961 by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the reserve contains an Iron Age hillfort on Galley Hill overlooking the Ivel valley.
The reserve functions as an educational center organizing guided walks, birdwatching workshops, and programs that connect visitors with nature throughout the year.
Visitors can access multiple walking trails, an observation tower, disabled parking facilities, a gift shop, and refreshment areas within the reserve grounds.
The reserve features specialized habitats where woodpeckers, nuthatches, treecreepers, and birds of prey can be observed in their natural environment.
