Christ Church, Port Sunlight

Christ Church is a Gothic Revival church building in Port Sunlight village, characterized by pointed arches, ribbed vaulting, and flying buttresses. Its stone exterior walls and towers display intricate carved details and skillful masonry work.

Construction began in 1902 as part of Port Sunlight model village, which was created by soap manufacturer William Lever for his factory workers. Architect Sir Edwin Lutyens designed the church to serve as a communal gathering place for the new residential community.
