Queenborough-in-Sheppey was a municipal borough that encompassed the entire Isle of Sheppey and included seven distinct parishes spread across the coastal territory. This administrative district was created in 1968 through the merger of three separate local authorities: Queenborough Municipal Borough, Sheerness Urban District, and Sheppey Rural District.
