The church features a four-stage Gothic tower made of ironstone with limestone dressings and includes pointed arch windows with geometrical tracery.

Construction of St Mary and St Peter's Church began in 1150 when Matilda, granddaughter of William the Conqueror, provided the land for its establishment.

The church maintains daily Celtic Morning Prayer services, combining traditional Anglican worship with modern streaming technology through Facebook Live at 9:30 AM.

Located on Church Street in Harlaxton, the Grade I listed building provides regular services and maintains contact information for visitor inquiries.

The interior contains memorial effigies of Sir Richard Rickhill and Elizabeth from 1410, alongside wooden roofs supported by carved stone corbel angels.
