Sussex House, Grade II* listed building in Hammersmith, United Kingdom.

Sussex House sits at 12-14 Upper Mall, a multi-story brick structure with period windows and a solid, classical facade from the early 1700s. A distinctive brick boundary wall runs along the north and east sides, forming part of the building's overall composition and street presence.

The building was constructed around 1726 during the Georgian period of London's development. It received Grade II* listed status in 1985, placing it under national protection for its architectural value.

The house reflects residential life in early 18th-century London, showing how affluent families built and inhabited these riverside properties during that era. The crafted details visible on the exterior reveal the building practices and standards that shaped homes for the wealthy.

The building can be viewed from outside on the street without admission, allowing you to observe the brick details and architectural features. Located on Upper Mall near the river, the site is easily accessible on foot and provides good sightlines from the pavement.

The property belongs to a select cluster of Georgian villas along Upper Mall that became retreats for London's affluent residents during the 1700s. Its boundary wall is a rare surviving example of period masonry enclosure work still standing at the riverside today.
