Church of St Margaret

Church of St Margaret is a stone church building in Bowers Gifford with a two-stage tower reinforced by diagonal buttresses. Its walls feature coursed ashlar and flint construction, topped with slate roofing.

The building originated in the mid-14th century, with its bell stage added during the early 16th century. A comprehensive restoration took place in 1910.

The interior holds a brass memorial to Sir John Giffard, a knight who served King Edward III in France. This depiction reveals the church's connection to medieval warrior elites.
