The museum opened in 1960 and underwent complete renovation in 2005, marking the centenary of Theodore Herzl's death with modernized exhibits and interactive displays.
The educational center within the museum complex provides programs about Zionist history and identity through guided tours, lectures, and specialized group activities.
The museum operates Sunday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering presentations in six languages, with admission fees of 25 NIS for adults.
The Norman Memorial Garden between the museum buildings contains inscriptions from Herzl's grandson Stephen, who visited Palestine in 1945.
