Sonagiri, Jain temple complex in Datia, India
The religious site contains 103 white temples, with 77 positioned on a hilltop and 26 spread throughout the surrounding village area.
The temples of Sonagiri, constructed during the 9th century, feature architectural elements representing the evolution of Digambar Jain religious structures.
The main temple houses an 11-foot-tall idol of Chandraprabhu, while a 43-foot Manastambha column stands in the central compound.
Visitors can reach Sonagiri via the Dabra-Datia Road or take a train to the local station on the Agra-Jhansi railway line.
An annual ceremony after Holi involves replacing the old flag atop the temple spire with a new golden one.
