Azam Mosque of Qom

The Azam Mosque features a central dome measuring 30 meters in diameter and rises 35 meters from its basement level to the top.

Construction of this religious center began on June 22, 1954, during a ceremony coinciding with Ali al-Ridha's birth anniversary and reached completion in 1961.

The mosque functions as an educational institution where scholars conduct regular lectures and discussions on Islamic theology and jurisprudence throughout the year.

Visitors can observe the mosque's clock tower from all directions, with its minarets extending 45 meters from the basement for daily prayer calls.

The building contains four separate prayer halls and three balconies, incorporating design elements from the Pahlavi architectural period of Iranian history.
