Convento di San Francesco a Folloni, Franciscan convent in Montella, Italy

The Convento di San Francesco a Folloni features architectural elements spanning from the 14th to 18th centuries, including Baroque and Rococo designs.

Francis of Assisi established the convent in January 1222 during his journey to the sanctuary of San Michele sul Gargano in southern Italy.

The convent museum displays sacred vestments, artistic furnishings, and numerous relics accumulated through centuries of religious activity in the region.

Daily masses occur at 17:00 during standard time and 18:00 during daylight saving time, with Sunday services held at 11:30 throughout the year.

Archaeological excavations between 2005 and 2010 revealed a medieval necropolis with bodies buried in traditional positions, arms crossed over stone pillows.
