Birthplace of Gabriele D'Annunzio Museum

The residence features five rooms on the upper floor with 19th century furnishings, paintings, and decorative elements representing an Italian bourgeois lifestyle.

In 1927, under pressure from the writer himself, Mussolini declared the birthplace of Gabriele D'Annunzio a National Monument for state protection.

The ceiling decorations in tempera paint, created by artists from Marche region during the 1850s, represent the oldest preserved pictorial art in Pescara.

The museum displays D'Annunzio's wardrobe collection, including a red hunting coat and golden sandals, alongside first editions of his literary works.

The exhibition includes death masks showing the writer's face and hand casts, created immediately after his passing on March 1, 1938.
