Beata Vergine delle Cendrole

The Beata Vergine delle Cendrole sanctuary features a Neoclassical design with a Doric-style facade, prominent portal, and single-nave interior illuminated by natural light.

Originally a temple dedicated to Diana, the site transformed into a Christian church during early evangelization, with the current structure rebuilt in 1730 by architect Ottavio Scotti.

The sanctuary holds particular significance as a place of reflection for Pope Pius X, who frequently visited during his youth and maintained strong connections throughout his life.

Located at coordinates 45.7346° N and 11.8958° E, the shrine can be reached via Via Cendrole and offers regular visiting hours for religious services and individual prayer.

The sanctuary houses an 1910 organ by Domenico Malvestio, partially constructed using materials from a 1770 Gaetano Callido instrument.
