Piazzale des Offices, Public square near Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy
The rectangular plaza extends alongside the Uffizi Gallery, featuring a series of statues representing notable Tuscan figures throughout history.
Giorgio Vasari designed this space in 1560 as part of the administrative complex that housed Florence's magistrates near the Palazzo Vecchio.
Twenty-eight marble statues of illustrious Tuscans, created between 1842 and 1845, decorate the exterior loggia of the plaza.
The square connects directly to the entrance of the Uffizi Gallery and provides views of both the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio.
The central arch displays a statue of Cosimo I de Medici from 1585, accompanied by allegorical sculptures representing Rigor and Equity.
