Torre dei Pulci, Medieval tower in Florence, Italy.

The Torre dei Pulci stands as a tall stone structure near the Uffizi Gallery, featuring traditional Florentine architectural elements from the medieval period.

Originally constructed as a defensive tower during the Middle Ages, the building later became the residence of the prominent Pulci family in Florence.

The Torre dei Pulci houses the Accademia dei Georgofili since 1933, making it a center for agricultural studies and scientific research in Italy.

Visitors can find the Torre dei Pulci on Via Lambertesca, within walking distance from the Ponte Vecchio and other central Florence attractions.

After the 1993 bombing, the tower's reconstruction incorporated different materials to mark the restored sections, with an olive tree planted as a memorial.
