Arashio stable, Sumo stable in Nihombashi, Japan

The Arashio wrestling stable occupies a modern building with large windows in the Hama-cho district of Tokyo, where athletes train and live together.

Established in 2002 by former komusubi Oyutaka, the Arashio stable became part of the Tokitsukaze group of sumo training facilities in Japan.

The stable maintains traditional sumo practices, where wrestlers follow strict daily routines, starting their training sessions at dawn and adhering to hierarchical protocols.

Visitors can observe morning practice sessions through the building's front window from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, located one minute from Hamacho Station.

The facility gained recognition when its wrestler Wakatakakage achieved the rank of sekiwake and won the March 2022 tournament championship.
