KidZania Koshien

KidZania Koshien is a recreation park with a miniature city where children try more than 60 different professions. Buildings are scaled for young visitors and feature realistic work areas with authentic tools and equipment.

The park opened in 2009 and introduced Japan to this international concept of educational entertainment. Since then it has grown as a place where families can guide children through learning-by-doing experiences.

The miniature city reflects how Japanese society values teamwork and responsibility through its workplace simulations. Visitors notice children in authentic professional uniforms learning social roles that matter in their culture.

The site runs two daily time slots, morning and evening, and advance booking is necessary for all visits. Weekdays tend to be less crowded, which gives children more time to explore activities without long waits.

One day each week, specifically Wednesdays, all activities are conducted in English. This allows families who don't speak Japanese to participate fully in the professional simulations.
