Futatabi Park

Futatabi Park is a large designated scenic area in Kita-ku with extensive walking trails, a central pond, and dense forest covering the grounds. The park provides numerous benches and open spaces for visitors to sit and observe the natural surroundings.

The park was created in 1937 and received official recognition in 2007 as a Place of Scenic Beauty. This designation reflected its importance as a natural space in the Kobe area.

The park reflects how local residents connect with nature through walks and quiet moments in the forest. Families and individuals use the space regularly, making it an integral part of the community's interaction with the natural environment.

The park is roughly 20 minutes by car from Sannomiya Station and offers free parking on site. Restroom facilities are located at multiple points throughout the grounds, making it easy to spend several hours exploring.

A former boathouse has been converted into a cafe that serves beverages and light food while offering hammocks for rest. This unexpected spot hidden in the forest catches many visitors off guard.
