Villa Correr Dolfin, Renaissance villa in Porcia, Italy.
Villa Correr Dolfin is a Renaissance residence with two entrances leading to a central hall defined by large windows. The interior spaces feature period frescoes throughout their decoration.
The residence was built between 1680 and 1685 by the Correr family, Venetian patricians. It passed to the noble Dolfin family through marriage during the 1800s.
The name reflects two Venetian noble families who shaped the residence over time. The architectural style reveals lagoon influences and sets it apart from other regional villas through its refined proportions.
The park surrounding the building is open to visitors and features century-old trees and two small lakes. The pathways are level and easy to walk.
The eastern Barchessa, a traditional outbuilding of the property, now houses the Salvador Gandino Music School. Visitors can arrange to see the school by appointment.
