The Juroku Bank Nagoya Building, Financial skyscraper in Nishiki district, Nagoya, Japan
The Juroku Bank Nagoya Building is a 20-story skyscraper in central Nagoya's commercial district, constructed with glass and steel for a contemporary appearance. The structure houses multiple departments of Juroku Bank and serves as a key financial center for Aichi Prefecture.
The building was completed in February 1994 and marked a milestone in Nagoya's financial infrastructure during a period of major economic reshaping in Japan. The design by Nikken Sekkei contributed to modern developments in banking architecture at that time.
The building shapes the Nishiki district as a modern financial institution, showing how contemporary banks integrate into busy commercial centers. It forms part of daily business activity in this commercial area, where offices and banking services weave together into the urban fabric.
The building is located near Marunouchi Station, accessible through exit 5, and sits in the Nishiki district with good transportation links. Visitors can easily find bank counters and office spaces that are accessible during standard business hours.
The building was among the first to use an innovative weather-resistant automation system for tall structures in Japan. This system set new standards in engineering practice and made the structure a technical model of its era.
