Science World

Science World is a technology museum in Mizunami with an entrance designed to look like a centrifuge machine. Inside, you will find several laboratory spaces and exhibition areas displaying different scientific topics and experiments.

This science center opened in 1999 and was designed by architect Mitsuru Senda. The opening reflected Gifu Prefecture's commitment to promoting science and technology education.

The facility organizes regular science demonstrations and interactive experiments that show visitors how scientific principles work in everyday life. These activities engage families and help people understand how science shapes what they see around them.

The museum is about 10 minutes away by taxi from Mizunami Station or a short drive from Chuo Expressway. It is helpful to check opening hours in advance so you can plan your visit time appropriately.

The museum publishes a magazine called Science Yuyu that covers current scientific topics and trends. The publication also includes instructions for hands-on experiments you can try at home.
