Ryugin Falls, Waterfall in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan
Ryugin Falls descends through dense forest vegetation, forming a water stream that creates natural pools and rock formations along its path.
The Ministry of Environment recognized Ryugin Falls in 1990 by including it in the official list of Japan's 100 distinguished waterfalls.
The name translates to Dragon's Song in Japanese, reflecting the local perception of the water's sound resembling a mythical creature's call.
Visitors can reach the falls by taking a one-hour bus ride from Nikko Station to Yumoto Onsen, with the journey costing 1400 yen.
The observation deck behind a traditional teahouse allows guests to experience the falls while enjoying Japanese refreshments and mountain views.
