新富町立新田小中学校, Combined elementary and junior high school in Shintomi, Japan
Shintomi Town Shinden Elementary and Junior High School is a combined school serving students from grade 1 through grade 9 in rural Miyazaki Prefecture. The facility sits among rice and wheat fields with both elementary and junior high classes operating on a shared campus.
The institution was founded in 1872 as Shinko-ji Elementary School operating independently for many decades. In 2012 it merged with another school to become the combined elementary and junior high school it is today.
The institution implements a continuous education system from elementary through junior high school, fostering consistent academic development for students aged 6 to 15.
The school provides specialized support classes within its regular program, with separate sections for students who need additional help at both elementary and junior high levels. The campus serves approximately 338 students from the local area and surrounding regions.
Every April 22nd, the school organizes a bicycle lock competition where students receive recognition for properly securing their bicycles.
