Gymnasion, University sports complex in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
The Gymnasion incorporates two sports halls, five multipurpose halls, fitness areas, squash courts, and climbing walls within its modern structure.
The building, designed by AGS Architekten & Planners from Heerlen, opened its doors in June 2003 after a four-year construction period.
The facility houses thirty different sports associations, connecting students from both Radboud University and Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences.
The sports center operates from 7:00 am to 11:30 pm on weekdays and 8:00 am to 9:00 pm during weekends, with paid parking available.
The building features sun-protective structural glazing that allows natural light while connecting the university campus to Brakkenstein Park.
