Hotel de l'Europe is a luxury property along the Amstel River with 107 rooms, including 55 suites and a multi-level penthouse. The building holds several restaurants and bars plus a wellness center featuring a swimming pool, treatment rooms, saunas, and a fully equipped fitness studio.
The building was constructed in 1896 by architect Willem Hamer Jr and replaced an earlier inn called Het Rondeel that had occupied the site since 1638. This construction marked a shift from traditional lodging to modern hotel architecture on the riverfront.
