The stone facade exhibits an eighteenth-century design with a cornice decorated with triglyphs and a tympanum at the top of the building.
The structure, dating from 1225, represents one of the oldest buildings in Groningen and maintains its original medieval foundation beneath later modifications.
The building received recognition as a Rijksmonument, confirming its status among the protected heritage sites of the Netherlands cultural preservation program.
