Student Welfare Organisation in Trondheim

The Student Welfare Organization manages ten campuses across Trondheim, providing comprehensive services to 25,000 students at NTNU and DMMH institutions.

Established in 1948, the organization has expanded from basic support services to become a central institution managing 7,000 student accommodations throughout Trondheim.

The organization fosters student engagement through the Velferdstinget, a welfare parliament of 17 student members who participate in major decision-making processes.

Students gain access to housing, health services, fitness centers, cafes, and bookstores after paying their mandatory semester fee to the organization.

The organization operates specialized facilities across distinct neighborhoods including Berg, Singsaker, Øya, Moholt, Jakobsli, Lerkendal, and Teknobyen.
