Matilda L. Bradford Memorial Church

Matilda L. Bradford Memorial Church is a church building on Osmeña Boulevard featuring a cruciform design with Gothic lancet windows and a checkerboard pattern floor of black and white tiles. The interior combines these architectural elements with functional spaces that accommodated both religious ceremonies and community gatherings.

The Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions acquired three hectares of land in 1912 to construct this church, which opened in October 1913. It became an established presence in Cebu and endured through years of religious change until recognition of its historical significance.

The church served Cebu's Protestant community through services conducted in multiple languages, including Cebuano and Chinese, reflecting the diversity of its congregation. This multilingual approach made it an important gathering place for different communities across the city.
