Cebu Provincial Capitol, Neoclassical capitol building in Cebu City, Philippines
The white provincial capitol features a symmetrical U-shaped structure with two grand staircases leading to executive offices on the second floor.
Architect Juan M. Arellano completed this government center in 1938, during the term of Governor Buenaventura Rodriguez who became its first occupant.
The building stands at the end of Osmena Boulevard, with statues of Filipino hero Lapulapu and President Sergio Osmena Sr flanking its ceremonial courtyard.
This National Historical Landmark houses the Provincial Board offices and serves as the administrative headquarters for the Cebu provincial government.
The structure combines Art Deco and Neoclassical architectural elements, with a chapel located in the attic where employees gather for Friday masses.
