Cebu Taoist Temple, Taoist temple in Beverly Hills, Cebu City, Philippines
The temple features multiple tiers with Chinese architectural elements, rising 110 meters above sea level with three separate winding paths for access.
Built in 1972 by the Chinese Filipino community, this temple became a center for worship and spiritual gatherings in Cebu City.
On Wednesdays and Sundays, visitors climb 81 steps representing Taoism scripture chapters to light joss sticks and receive readings from monks.
The temple maintains open access for all visitors, with facilities including a chapel, library, souvenir shop, and observation areas overlooking downtown Cebu.
Devotees perform rituals involving wooden blocks, where both pieces must land face up to make a wish, otherwise requiring return visits.
