Bagatela Theatre, Theatre venue in Kraków, Poland.

Bagatela Theatre occupies a corner building at 6 Karmelicka Street in Kraków, designed by architect Janusz Zarzecki and completed in 1919. The interior features decorative elements created by painter Henryk Uziembło, giving the space its distinctive character and function as a performance venue.

Publisher Marian Dąbrowski founded this entertainment venue in 1918, drawing inspiration from Parisian theatres of the early twentieth century. A devastating fire in 1928 threatened the building, but the interior decorative elements were preserved and remain today.

The theatre has served as a venue for classical and contemporary performances, where audiences experience a range of works from literary adaptations to musicals. The programming reflects the theatrical tastes of Kraków and draws a diverse crowd of regular patrons.

Information about performances, showtimes, and ticket sales can be found on the official website, which is primarily in Polish. It is helpful to check the current schedule and booking options online before planning a visit.

Painter Henryk Uziembło created the original interior decorations with careful artistic attention to detail and craft. These painted elements survived the fire of 1928 and still show the skill and taste of artists from that era.
