Description
The Church of the Assumption of Mary in Koronowo is a brick basilica with three naves and a transept extending 72 meters in length. The structure also features two rows of side chapels that add to its architectural complexity.
History
Construction began in 1289 when Cistercian monks moved from Byszewo to Koronowo and first built the presbytery. The main body of the church was added subsequently, completing the major structure we see today.
