The reserve encompasses 88.69 hectares of land containing black alder trees, ash trees, oak trees, and birch trees within dense forest grounds.

Established in 1959 with an initial area of 31.55 hectares, the reserve expanded to its current size through additional protection measures in 1989.

The reserve includes the President's Road, also referred to as the Royal Road, which features substantial oak and ash trees along its path.

A marked blue hiking trail runs along the reserve's border, allowing visitors to observe the protected forest environment and its plant species.

The area contains over 230 species of vascular plants and experiences seasonal flooding during spring months, creating specific wetland conditions.
