Castle in Lipa Górna

The stone fortress stands on a 375-meter hill above the Mała Nysa River, with remaining walls reaching several meters in height.

The castle, constructed between the 13th and 14th centuries, served as a military watchtower for the Silesian knights on the regional trade route.

The medieval structure underwent Renaissance modifications in the 17th century under the Zedlitz family, incorporating new architectural elements into the original design.

The ruins require careful navigation due to unstable structures, with access available through a marked forest path from the village center.

The castle displays traces of four different construction periods, including Gothic portals and Renaissance window frames that survived numerous renovations and destructions.
