Marianna Orańska palace in Stronie Śląskie

Marianna Orańska palace is a symmetrically designed structure with a central entrance, grand staircases, and richly decorated rooms across multiple levels. The layout and ornamental details reflect the neoclassical style of its time.

Princess Marianne of Orange-Nassau commissioned the palace in 1839, with architect Ferdinand Martius executing the design under Karl Friedrich Schinkel's direction from Berlin. The project took place during a period of significant change in Silesia under Prussian rule.

The palace reflects how 19th-century European nobility displayed their taste and standing through architecture and interior design. Walking through its rooms, you can see the choices made by a wealthy family about what mattered to them in their living spaces.
