Różanka Rose Garden, Rose garden in Łękno district, Szczecin, Poland.
Różanka Rose Garden is a two-hectare space in Szczecin containing over 9,000 roses in roughly 100 different varieties. The plants are arranged in geometric patterns along paved pathways and grass areas, with several exotic trees like cork trees and Serbian spruces interspersed among the rose beds.
The garden was established in 1928 for the World Gardening Exhibition and has displayed roses ever since. After wartime damage, it underwent complete restoration in 2007 to return to its 1930s design.
The garden takes its name from the thousands of roses that bloom throughout the seasons in shades of red, pink, yellow, and white. Visitors walk among carefully arranged varieties that represent different rose types and heritage cultivars.
The garden is easy to reach on foot and has paved pathways throughout. Visitors should come during spring and summer months to see the roses in full bloom.
A notable artwork from 1935 stands here: the Bird Well featuring concrete sculptures of flying geese. The sculptures were created by Kurt Schwerdtfeger and represent a rare example of sculptural art within a rose garden.
