Collegiate church in Środa Wielkopolska

The church features a solemn brick facade with a four-sided tower, rising 36 meters high and extending 45 meters in length with 23 meters in width.

The first recorded mention of the parish church dates to 1276, surviving the Teutonic Knights invasion of 1331 due to sharing the same patron saint.

From 1419, the church hosted regular congresses of Greater Poland nobility, with senators meeting inside while deputies gathered in front of the building.

The church maintains regular visiting hours and provides guided tours that explain the architectural elements and historical significance of this religious monument.

The late Gothic reconstruction transformed the structure into a basilica measuring 24.8 x 23.4 meters, with original features including glazed brick friezes from 1535.
