The monument commemorates Jan Karski, who in 1942 reported to Western allies about the mass extermination of Jews in German-occupied Poland during World War II.
This memorial, created by sculptor Karol Badyna and unveiled in 2013, represents part of a series of Karski benches across multiple international cities.
The statue includes an audio system activated by pressing a button, which plays recordings from interviews with Jan Karski in multiple languages.
The sculpture maintains exact life-size proportions at 1.80 meters tall, allowing visitors to experience a genuine sense of Karski's physical presence.
