Palace in Siary, Palace complex with park in Gorlice, Poland
The Palace in Siary is a residence in Viennese Secession style with neo-baroque touches, showing oval dormer windows, mansard roofs, and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout its structure. The building sits within a park setting with paths, water features, and planted areas that surround and define the grounds.
The palace was built between 1900 and 1908 by oil magnate Wladyslaw Dlugosz and replaced a wooden manor dating back to the 14th century. This period of new construction happened at a time when the region's oil industry brought wealth to the area.
The garden holds about 60 stone sculptures made in 1911 by Lviv artist Piotr Wojtowicz, showing mythological figures like Neptune and nymphs. These statues shape how the grounds look and give visitors something to explore while walking through the park.
The property now serves as a private event venue for celebrations and overnight stays and can be toured. It is best to arrange your visit in advance to plan access and timing for your tour.
The grounds feature a decorative pond with a bridge, flowing streams, fountains, and a pergola covered in various plant species. These water elements and green features still shape how the gardens appear today.
