Holy Trinity and Saint Clare church in Stary Sącz

The Holy Trinity and Saint Clare Church features cross-rib vaulting, buttresses, and pointed windows with traceries matching architectural elements of Kraków cathedral.

The stone church construction began around 1285 under Princess Kinga's initiative, following her establishment of the Poor Clares monastery after becoming a widow in 1279.

The church holds religious ceremonies and maintains its role as a spiritual center within the monastery complex, preserving medieval Catholic traditions in Lesser Poland.

Located at pl. Św. Kingi 1 in Stary Sącz, the church stands within defensive walls that include a cylindrical tower from the 17th century.

The structure contains a separate chapel dedicated to Saint Kinga, designed to allow access for both cloistered nuns and external visitors.
