Water tower in Biedrusko

The water tower in Biedrusko is a brick structure standing 31 meters tall with a steel tank holding 150 cubic meters of water at its top. Four large clock faces decorate the upper section of the building, making it a recognizable landmark in the town.

Built in 1901, this tower once supplied water to a military barracks and casino complex before being taken out of service in 1993. It represents an important part of the town's infrastructure from an era when such towers were essential to urban systems.

This structure shows how industrial buildings from the early 1900s mixed function with decoration, reflecting local craftsmanship of that era. The four clocks at its crown were once a landmark that residents used to tell time throughout the town.

Located on Poznańska Street, the tower was completely renovated in 2019, so it is in good condition when you visit. You can easily walk around it and view the building from street level without any obstacles.

The tower still contains its original clock mechanisms from 1901, made by J.F. Weule from Bocken. These rare original parts show the fine craftsmanship of European clockmakers from that period.
