Steel mill in Samsonów, Industrial ruins in Samsonów, Poland.

The steel mill in Samsonów is an industrial complex with multiple buildings, including a distinctive headframe and round blast furnace featuring classicist design elements. The site shows the typical layout of an early iron production facility with sturdy stone structures.

Stanisław Staszic established the mill between 1818 and 1822 on the site of an older blast furnace from 1598. The operation became an important iron production site until a major fire in 1866 forced its closure.

The steel mill complex represents a testament to Poland's industrial development during the nineteenth century, reflecting regional manufacturing techniques.

The ruins are easy to reach on foot and suit independent exploration without special equipment required. Visitors should be prepared for uneven ground and unsecured structures and take appropriate caution.

The works reached an annual production capacity of about 800 tons of steel before its destruction. This output was substantial for an early 19th-century facility and shows the technical importance of the site.
