Birth house of Wincenty Witos, Rural residence in Wierzchosławice, Poland.
The Birth house of Wincenty Witos is a wooden residence in Wierzchosławice with whitewashed walls and a thatched roof. Inside, the space is divided into a central hallway, a main chamber, a storage room, and a small living area.
The wooden structure was built in 1814 and served as the birthplace of Wincenty Witos. He later led Poland three times as Prime Minister during the period between the two world wars.
The house displays how peasant families lived and worked in the 19th century. The rooms contain tools and everyday objects that show what daily life was like in rural areas.
The building is open daily except Mondays and offers guided tours in Polish. Visitors can store their bicycles and explore the site as part of the Wooden Architecture Trail.
The property features a traditional water well with a hand-operated crane mechanism that was essential for daily farm life. Two barns nearby hold old farming tools and decorations used during harvest celebrations.
