Żabi Koń

The Żabi Koń formation rises from the ground in the Jura Krakowsko-Czestochowska upland, displaying characteristic white limestone features and vertical surfaces suitable for climbing.

This geological structure emerged through millions of years of limestone deposits and erosion processes, forming part of the extensive rock system in Lesser Poland.

The formation belongs to a network of climbing locations in southern Poland, where both local and international climbers practice their skills throughout the year.

Visitors can reach the formation by following marked trails from Kobylanska Valley parking areas, with the nearest major city Kraków offering accommodation and transportation options.

The limestone structure contains small caves and surface irregularities that provide nesting spaces for various bird species native to the Jura region.
